Make Money from Blogging

Making Money from Blogging

There are many ways to make money on the internet and blogging is just one of them. A lot of blog owners do not understand how to make money from their blog.

In this article we will talk about how to make money from blogging if you do not know how.

1. One way to make money blogging is to write articles for other bloggers. You do not even need a blog of your own to make money this way. Plus there are millions of potential customers waiting to hear from you right now.

You can go to just about any Internet marketing forum and find people who will pay you to write blog articles for them. Just join in the discussion to let people know you would like to make money writing and your business will be up and running in no time. You may want to do this in your spare time, but you could turn it into a full time business.

2. Another way to make money blogging is start your own blog for free and try it out to see if it's something you enjoy. One way to do this is by joining Typepad.com, Wordpress.com or Blogger.com.com which is owned by Google.

Google is the biggest and most popular search engine on the internet and they have a program known as Google Adsense where you get paid when a visitor clicks on an advert on your website. You can easily add Google Ads to your blog and make money every time someone clicks on one of them. The way to make money is to drive traffic to your blog and let a certain percentage of your visitors click on one of these ads.

3. Finding affiliate products related to your niche and adding them to your blog is a great way to monetize it. You can join affiliate programs that relate to the theme of your blog and earn commissions every time someone purchases a product you sell. The majority of affiliate programs have product images, banners and graphics that you can easily add to your blog to make it look good and entice visitors to click on it.

4. It is also possible to make money by placing text links within your blog posts that lead to affiliate products that you will make a commission from. One strategy that works well for this is to create review pages on products as an affiliate.

As your reader is reading your blog article they will click on the link to one of these review pages where you take them through a product that relates to the article you are writing. These review pages are designed to warm your prospect up before passing them through to your affiliate sales page.

These were just four ways to make money through blogging, but if you use your imagination you will find many more.

Merging The Old With The New

Internet Marketing.....Merging The Old With The New

Back in the early days of the Internet, the marketing methods were pretty basic. Most of the advertisers used things such as safelists, hit exchanges, submitters, and other basic marketing tools. As time passed however, marketers relied less upon these marketing methods as some of the more conceptual traffic generating concepts entered the scene. Does this mean that those older and highly effective internet marketing concepts are no longer useful or even effective? Not at all, in fact many of the older concepts not only work well but they tend to work better due to the fact that not as many people are still trying to crowd that concept! Realistically, the premise of the old tools and new tools is very much the same, it is just executed using different tools and banking on the infrastructure of the new social internet empires.

While Social Networking has now become the preferred method of doing business for many, some of these new concepts can be so crowded with people using them that although effective at the core, they may not be as effective to the individual because of many factors involved. To use a mechanical concept, the new concepts are brilliant, but there are simply too many moving parts for the new marketer, and there are too many people doing the exact same thing which dilutes it's power beyond what the old school techniques brought. If you think about it, since the premise is the same, you could still effectively use some of the tried and true traffic generating methods such as traffic exchanges to bring in traffic, and in fact many people are starting to realize the power in incorporating these concepts back into their marketing plan because they bring a good mix of old and new school concepts. In the world of internet marketing, traffic is your life blood, so you should try to use any potential traffic generating resource at your disposal, regardless if it is something everyone is using or not. The bottom line is that your barometer should be results, not popularity of the tool.

With that said, while using traffic exchanges can be an effective means of generating traffic for your site if used correctly, there are things you need to be aware of before embarking into this concept. The first thing to keep in mind is that this concept banks on web browser traffic, so the vehicle of this concept is the browser itself. If you want to make sure you are putting forth the most effective and efficient effort, you will need a good browser to use, one that won't crash or allow viral activity to enter your computer. These days the viruses out there are getting quite cleaver and you can contract one on your computer simply by loading the wrong page. For the most part the Microsoft browser internet explorer is not very secure and is not coded very well where security is concerned. The Mozilla FireFox browser however is not often attacked by these sites and is light years ahead of the IE browser in security features. Your computer must be running efficiently for you to make the best use of your traffic exchange program, so I would suggest you get the latest version of FireFox for this use.

You also want to make sure in conjunction with this system that your computers antivirus program is also set up with the latest update to make sure your protected from viruses. This is not just a precaution you should make due to the traffic exchanges or internet marketing, it's something you should be well aware of always because again, today's internet is higher tech, but so is the web page security problems. Even FireFox can contract certain website virus scripts, so with both armed your better off. There are some great AVP's that are absolutely free and incredibly powerful. One I use is called Avast, which is free for home users and it catches just about any internet page script that tries to infect your computer. The best thing to do is to set your browser history to 0 days also to protect your computer as many of these viral pages enter through the browser cache folder (temp folder where pages are stored).

The Mozilla FireFox browser is also best set up for traffic exchanges due to some great features and plug-in capabilities. FireFox allows you to set up groups of traffic exchanges that can be set up and configured with a simple click of a button. Setting up several groups extends your surfing power thus your ability to dynamically boost your traffic generation power. In this concept the name of the game is brows-ability, the more you browse the more traffic you can create for your site. With this concept you can load one page and set it in its own tab, then run another page and another. You will never have to wait for timers to wind down on certain pages which could take up to 30 seconds a page. The beauty of this system is it doesn't matter if you physically are looking at the page, it just has to be loaded on your computer and technically it is.

Lastly, to get the best out of your traffic exchanges you should be using a broadband internet connection. The faster your connection the faster pages load and more pages will load. Since the page has to be loaded for a certain amount of time and the timer starts when it is loaded, it would be in your best interests to make sure it loads fast. Keep your computer defragged, your internet cache empty, and your internet connection fast. It may also be a good idea to have plenty of memory on your computer. Your computer is part of the equation and should be a decent speed with a decent amount of memory to handle all the browsing activity at once.Your best bet is to take some time and read up on the traffic exchange concept, and really get to know how it all works. The best place to do this is in a traffic exchange forum where you can ask other users questions and read how others found success. People these days love to talk and help one another out, so it is actually a better time to get into this concept than it used to be for many reasons. Be creative, create your own special custom pages, don't put out the same thing everyone else is, remember others will look at your pages if you have something fresh and exciting to look at!

Does Article Marketing Software Really Work?

Having recently come to the realization that I was spending more time submitting articles to article directories then I was writing them, I decided to purchase a popular article submission software with the hopes that it would automate many of the tedious details of submitting articles, and allow me to spend more time writing. After purchasing the software, I excitedly downloaded it and jumped right it wanting to put it to use right away. Unfortunately, after using it a few times, I discovered that it failed to live up to my expectations, and it wasn't long before I discarded it altogether. This article looks at my experiences with article submission software, and points out several areas where this software fails to deliver.

One of the main benefits touted by article submission software sellers is the claim that much of the time consuming work such as filling in details can be automated.
The claim is that once you sign up for a directory and submit your information, the software will automatically load your information the next time you login to submit an article. Unfortunately, what happens with many of the article directories is that when you login to submit a new article it will load the original article that you had submitted when you first signed up, meaning that every time you submit an article, you have to go back and remove the original article, and copy and paste in the new one. It doesn't seem to matter how many articles you submit, the article submission software keeps loading the original article. Needless to say, this becomes quite aggravating, and a complete waste of time.

Another one of the alleged benefits of article submission software is the claim is that the software contains hundreds of pre-loaded sites that you can submit your articles to, allowing you wide exposure for your articles. However, what I discovered when trying to submit my articles to the directories was that many of the sites were no longer in business, and many of the sites would took so long to load that you would tend to get frustrated with them, and move on to the next site. While it would be unrealistic to expect perfection, one would expect that the majority of the websites would be active and functioning. Unfortunately, it seems like the owner of the this submission software had not spent a good deal of time keeping his product updated.

As if the previous issues weren't enough to make you wonder if using article submission software is really worth the trouble, I should also mention that you won't be able to use the same username and password for many of the article sites but will instead have to use an email generated one. While in theory this shouldn't cause a problem since the article submission software is supposed to remember the information you entered for each site, in practice it often failed to do so, causing you to type in those two dirty words, "forgot password" repeatedly. While it may not sound like a huge deal, having to constantly stop and check your email to retrieve a password not only wastes time, but defeats the whole purpose of why you purchased the software in the first place.

If all this negativity hasn't dissuaded you from trying article submission software, you should know that this type of software can be rather costly. Before purchasing software, I would suggest that you go to a few Internet Marketing forums to see what others are saying about the software you're thinking of purchasing. You can also do a check simply by doing a Google search with the words 'Article Submission Software'. As the saying goes, 'buyer beware'.

As with many things in life, expectations are oftentimes greater than results. While Article Submission software promises to eliminate much of the dirty work in article distribution, it did leave this writer a bit disappointed with the results. While I found that there were some benefits to be had in using this type of software, they were more than offset by the problems I encountered. Perhaps my experience was not the norm, and there is in fact software that will allow you to hit a couple of keys and have your articles posted to hundreds of sites. Just be sure to do your research before spending your depreciating dollars on this type of software.

Increase Google Page Rank

How to Increase Google Page Rank

Page rank is one of those Internet marketing terms that Google has made famous. Let's take a look at what Google Page Rank is and how you can increase it.

First of all Page Rank is a value that Google assigns to a web page based on the importance of the page. It is determined by the number of incoming links to that web page and few other factors including the page rank of the page giving the link to you.

There has been discussion recently asked to the importance of page rank. However one thing to consider is this, if Google thinks page rank is important than page rank is important.

Remember Google gets over 65% of all the search traffic on the Internet every day. The bottom line is the higher your page rank the more chance you have to be ranked above similar pages with a lower PR than yours.

So how can you increase your page rank?

1. First of all you can increase the number of links you have pointing back to your website. This fact alone can increase your link popularity and ultimately increase your page rank. Combined with that is the fact that the more back links you have pointing back your website for more potential traffic you will get from it.

2. Not only do you want to increase the number of links you have pointing back your website, but you want to get your website URL on high quality pages. This means getting your link on pages that are ranked as high or higher than yours. When you do this some of their page rank can be transferred to you which ultimately helps increase the page rank of your site.

There are lots of ways to increase your page rank, but the most common methods are posting in discussion forums that have a high page rank, article marketing, submitting your site to directories, commenting on blogs and distributing press releases.

As well as getting links to your home page you should also use deep linking. Deep linking means linking to internal pages on your website as opposed to always linking to your homepage.

There are other ways you can increase your page rank, but any time you are working on getting backlinks you have the potential to increase your page rank!

It is also worth bearing in mind that the Google Page Rank displayed on the Google Tool bar is always out of date. Although Google is always internally updating the page rank of web pages, the toolbar page rank is only updated every few months.

Be aware that just because a page has a PR0, it doesn't necessarily mean that you don't want to spend time getting your link on that page. The page rank could increase on the next toolbar update.

Finally, remember that page rank on its own does not necessarily equate to traffic. You also want to ensure that you have chosen good keyword phrases and have optimized your website.

Creating Website Traffic

3 Internet Marketing Business Tactics for Creating Website Traffic

If you really want to develop your internet marketing business you need to get traffic like the experts do. This does not have to be as hard as it sounds, and in this article we will give you three expert tactics for creating website traffic.

1. Social media continues to dominate the internet and is one form of traffic generation that the experts are doing better than everyone else. You can create an avalanche of website traffic if you use social media in the proper ways.

One of the first things you should do is start an internet business blog. Even if you don't like to write you can outsource your content needs and maintain a blog fairly easily. Social media works very well on blogs when you add things such as video and audio to it. Web 2.0 is a phrase that was coined to show how internet marketers can interact with their visitors to create a fantastic experience for them. The most exciting blogs do this and they do it very well. An internet marketing business can go from zero to 500 visitors a day in a short amount of time by blogging and incorporating social media into their mix.

2. Discussion forums are a popular way to meet people and develop strategies for building a business on the internet. The top internet marketers also have learned how creating website traffic can be easy to do through posting and discussion forums.

You do this by adding to the conversation in a subtle way and not by promoting your products in the posts themselves. Your signature file is where people will learn more about you and the quality of these visitors is very easy to track. Check your website statistics and you will find that the traffic coming to your website via discussion forums is of the highest quality. You can see this just based on the amount of time they spend on your site when they get there.

3. A pay per click advertising campaign can give you as much quality traffic as you can afford. The real internet business experts generate millions of visitors every year because they create campaigns that are profitable.

What this means is they learn how to bid on keywords that drive quality traffic and convert those into paying customers. They create website traffic that puts way more money in their pockets and they actually spend on the campaigns themselves.

As you can see this is three internet marketing business tactics for creating website traffic you may want to look into. If the professionals are doing it then it might be good enough for you too!

How To Work Online For Money Blogging

Today blogging has become big business, and yet we have barely scratched the surface on what this business model will become. In this article let's talk about how to work online for money as a professional blogger.

1. If you currently have a home business adding a blog to it is a no brainer. Your competition may already have one which is giving them an unfair advantage over you.

Blogs are very easy to set up and they are also very easy to maintain. They offer you an opportunity to interact with your readers in a way that you have not been able to do with a static website.

You can start a blog for free at Blogger.com, or you can set one up using a blogging platform such as Word press.

2. Blogs provide an opportunity for you to train distributors if you do businesses such as network marketing. This is a great way for you to keep your team up to date on what is going on within your business.

Another example of working online for money as a blogger would be to join two tier affiliate programs and offer training to your personal recruits through your blog.

3. Many people work online for money as a blogger and monetize it with nothing more than advertising sales. High traffic blogs earn thousands of dollars every month in paid advertising in the form of banner ads or text ads.

New bloggers make money adding pay per click ads to their site in programs such as Google Adsense, Yahoo Marketing, SearchFeed, 7search, and so on.

Google now makes it possible for you to add videos to your site that incorporate Google Adsense ads on them. This makes it possible for you to get paid when people click on the ads of the videos that you easily add to a blog post.

4. Some professional Internet marketers like using their blog as a way to build an email marketing list. They write about things that interest them and drive traffic to their blog. On their blog is a sign up form to a giveaway they are offering.

The prospect will trade their name and email address in return for receiving something useful from the blogger. This is known as building an opt in list and can be a great way to make money both today and in the future.

In summary, these are several ways you can work online for money blogging. Blogging is here to stay and should become a part of your Internet income.

Cash Gifting Marketing - Marketing Cash Gifting With Blogs

Blogging is a great cash gifting marketing strategy and a GREAT way to increase traffic to your cash gifting web-site while creating a trust relationship with your readers. The ultimate goal of your blog should be to increase visibility of your web-site, NOT to sell products or services. This is VERY IMPORTANT to remember! While you could do a very "soft sell" in your press releases, if you try to "plug in" a sales pitch in the middle of your blog, at the very least, the readers will be put off and leave and at the worst they will flag your blog as spam or inappropriate content. On the other hand, if you provide quality content, a vast majority of your readers will repay you by checking out your opportunity.

The other major added bonus of posting blogs is that they create back links to your web-site. More blogs = higher position in the Google and Yahoo! Search engines.

How can you attract prospects without overtly "selling" them the idea of cash gifting? No one likes to be sold to, but everyone likes to buy. The key is to write your blog in a way that doesn't aggressively "sell", but "helps" the prospects make the decision in favor of joining your cash gifting team.

1. Start with key phrases

Use your keyword research tool of choice to find the absolute best key phrases and make a separate Word document, listing all of them. Now, analyze your key phrases. What is the person who is searching for "cash gifting marketing for free" looking for? How about the seeker of "the easiest way to make money online"? You get the picture. Pick a key phrase and figure out what's going to satisfy the needs of people who are searching for that key phrase.

2. Create a catchy title

Write a title around your main key phrase. Remember not to aggressively "stick in" more then one key phrase per blog - otherwise you could end up with something that showed up high in the search engines, but turned off everyone that ever looked at it.

3. Don't write a very short blog. Don't write a really long one either.

The ideal length of a blog entry is about 500-850 characters. That's about ¾ of a Microsoft Word page to 1,5 Word pages. I have made the mistake of creating very long blogs in my early cash gifting marketing days, and I can honestly say it wasn't worth it. Most people have very short attention span when they're on the Internet, so even if you're providing extremely useful information, most prospects won't have enough patience to "sit through it".

4. Don't use your link too many times.

There are a couple of good reasons why you don't want to plaster your link all over your blog. First, some blog sites will flag and delete your blog if it sounds overly promotional. Second, regular blog readers keep a keen eye out for spam. Anything that sounds "spammy" will be flagged. Trust me you don't want to go through the frustration of putting your efforts into writing a really good blog just to find it wiped off the Net hours later.

5. Use A Resource Box To "Pitch" Yourself.

It's a good strategy to create what's called a resource box and put it at the bottom of your blog. Resource boxes are mainly used in article writing, but they are good for blogs as well. They provide a brief bio of the author/info about the company and links to where the reader can get more information. That's where you would put information about yourself + all of your links.

The idea here is to entice your reader into clicking on your link. How do you do that? By writing a blog that's "missing something" and providing the "missing link" in your resource box. VERY IMPORTANT!

Let's say you're writing about marketing cash gifting for "dummies" - new Internet users (not meant as an insult). Provide some valuable, but fairly general advice in the body of your blog; make them feel like they will need a lot more information in order to be successful. Then write something along these lines in your resource box:

Jo Shmoe is a cash gifting marketer that specializes in working with people who are completely new to cash gifting. He provides extensive, highly effective training and exclusive tips to his team of online biz rookies, many of which had gone on to become great Internet marketing experts...

A person who wants to be successful at cash gifting, but doesn't know how, will jump on the opportunity to check out your website after reading this short blurb!

6. Don't Copy Other People's Content!

First and foremost, writing blogs is a great way for you to polish your marketing chops. You brainstorm for things to write about and you come up with great ideas on the way. If you just rip off someone else's work, you learn nothing! Also, search engines HATE duplicate content, so you're basically spinning your wheels as far as search engine placement when you copy other people's blogs.

7. Let Your Personality Shine Through!

Now that you know about some technical aspects of writing a good blog, it's time to switch into your creative mode. Have fun! Write with personality! Just be yourself and convey your knowledge to others in an easy-to-read, conversational language. Trust me, people WILL appreciate your sincerity.

Can You Make Money With Affiliate Internet Marketing?

If you would like to stay at home and earn money affiliate Internet marketing is a great way to do it. This is made possible because there are many different products and services that you can sell online. I think we all know that, but the real question is can you make money with affiliate Internet marketing?

One thing that you will have going in your favor is this is not a difficult industry to learn. It's a great way to make money for the average person because the product is already established.

You do not have to do any manufacturing or creating a product of your own because your affiliate merchant will have that for you. What you will have to learn how to do is sell on the Internet.

Affiliate marketing offers really high commission rates depending on the type of products that you are selling. For this reason, it draws people to it that would like to make a full time income from home.

But as in the real world, the Internet world is no different and you will not make any money unless you can sell. That is the bottom line, learning how to sell is the difference between whether you can make money with affiliate Internet marketing or not.

Now many merchants do give you fantastic sales copy already ready. If you wanted to use that you could, because it will be coded with your affiliate ID number. So you get credited whenever a sale is made on your website.

If you read the copy, and you like it, and you believe in it, then the way that you are going to become a successful affiliate Internet marketer is to get as many eyeballs looking at that sales page as possible.

You do this through advertising on the Internet. You can pay to get your visitors to your site, or you can learn free or nearly free methods.

The Internet doesn't really care where the visitors come from, and neither does your affiliate marketing website. You can make money with affiliate Internet marketing if you just play the numbers.

Once you understand how many visitors it takes to make sale, then you know how many sales it will take for you to make the money that you want.

Then you spend all your time driving that number visitors to your site and you will pretty much know what your paychecks going to be.

That's about it when it comes to the question of can you make money with affiliate Internet marketing! You can if you learn how to get enough traffic to your affiliate website.

#1 Niche Marketing and Blogging Tip

#1 Niche Marketing and Blogging Tip

One way to make money on the Internet today is to combine niche marketing with blogging. This is not a get rich quick way to make money, but rather a long term approach to creating an ongoing income doing something you enjoy.

Having a blog is not anything special on the Internet anymore. There are millions of blogs online with a new one started just about every second of the day.

Niche marketing is where where you take a broad theme and narrow it down to something more targeted. For example sports is a broad theme whereas golf is a niche within the sports theme. You could even narrow it down more and target how to be a better putter as a very narrow niche.

One thing nice about combining blogging with niche marketing is you can make money writing about things you enjoy. If you have something you are interested in, or even have a passion for, you can probably create an income from it.

One way to do this is to create a blog and start putting massive amounts of content in it. Do not fill it up with private label rights articles, but rather write your own content. Take the time to put unique thoughts down in your blog.

This is also the time to start making your blog lively with pictures, graphics, videos, and things to make it seem like an interesting blog. You do not even need to worry about how you are making money exactly at this point.

A good long term strategy is to target a market where there is a lot of interest and build up a high amount of traffic to your blog. Then sell advertising to businesses and corporations on it.

This is going to be a major income stream for quality blogs in the future. As television, radio, and newspaper advertising continue to be expensive businesses will be looking for alternative ways to reach their target audience.

This is an excellent chance for you to have fun with your blog, and to make money selling advertising on it in the future. You certainly can monetize it right now with affiliate programs such as Google Adsense, or ClickBank digital information products as well if you like.

The key here is to find a niche that you have an interest in and start a blog in that niche. Then add massive amounts of unique interesting content, and finally begin to find ways to make money with it.

Make Money Blogging

Top 4 Ways To Make Money Blogging

Blogging is very popular because it's fun and it is also an excellent way to make money. Many people have a blog, but are not earning a living from it like they could. Here are the top 4 ways to make money blogging today that anyone can do with a little bit of ingenuity and effort.

1. Start your blog around something you have a passion for. The reason this is important is because you will be more likely to stick with it until the income starts flowing in. Plus your blog will be more entertaining and offer useful information if it is something that you look forward to getting up and working on every day.

2. Create blogs that are lively and offer excitement. Today there are many blog themes available that make it very easy for the average blogger to do. These themes make it possible for you to add things to your blog such as graphics, video, audio, comments and other things to make it more interactive. These are all part of presenting a professional blog which will allow you to make more money.

3. Monetize your blog in multiple ways to increase your income. For example you can add affiliate products directly to the text of your blog articles. This makes it easy for your visitor to click on these and purchase products from you.

Other things you can do to make money blogging include adding affiliate products to your sidebar in the form of banners. Still a third thing you can do is sell traffic to other businesses once you have developed a blog that is generating meaningful traffic.

4. One final thing we want to mention is building your RSS subscriber feed list as large as possible. Make it easy for people to subscribe either through your feed or by email.

The larger your list becomes the more money you can make blogging. This allows you to easily keep in touch with all of your subscribers every time you make an update to your blog. This also makes it easy for them to come back to your blog and read it and purchase products from you whenever they are in the mood.

There certainly are other things you can do to make money blogging. However today these are four of the top ways to make money blogging that professional bloggers do every day. With a little bit of effort you can join them and make as much money as you want as well.

Affiliate Marketing Website-Are You Missing These 4 Trends?

As the affiliate marketing business model continues to mature there are certain trends beginning to emerge. One of these centers around how to use your affiliate marketing website. In this article let's talk about 4 trends you should be aware of when it comes to using your website to make more money as an affiliate marketer.

1. As a general rule using the affiliate marketing website given to you exclusively is a bad idea. When you think about this logically why would you want to promote something that thousands of other people have the exact same thing of?

Many people choose to do this because they do not know how to build a website of their own, or what alternatives are available to them. However, the trend today is on getting away from replicated affiliate marketing websites and utilizing other tools to promote affiliate marketing products with.

2. Blogging is an extremely popular way to build an affiliate marketing website today. As a matter of fact, static websites are being replaced with interactive blogs almost every second of the day somewhere in the world.

Many bloggers choose to monetize their blog with affiliate products because of how easy it is to do. With a blog you can sell many different affiliate marketing products in multiple ways including blog articles, videos, RSS feed e-mails, podcasts, email marketing, and much more.

3. For people who want to focus on a specific program or product, reviews sites are becoming very popular. This is a fantastic way to warm up a visitor to your product before passing them through to your sales page.

A review page allows you the opportunity to give an honest assessment of your product including both the negative and positive aspects of it. People appreciate this more than they do reading a hard core sales letter initially.

4. Another thing successful affiliate marketers are doing is promoting a landing page by capturing contact information before sending the visitor through to their review page. This landing page allows you to build an opt in email list for future follow up. You can warm your prospects up with relationship building before sending them through to your affiliate marketing website.

In summary, these are four trends as it relates to building an affiliate marketing website. You will need to determine which way is best for you, but these are how the successful affiliate marketers are doing it right now.

How Do Websites Make Money: Taking A Look At The Best Monetizing Methods

There are 40 billion websites on the web and counting. Of them less than 1% aren't trying to make money on the web. This means that if you are setting up your own web business you are up against billions of others.

However, even if there are billions of websites to compete against most of them are not properly set up to make money. Others are operated by individuals who are ill prepared and don't take things seriously. Thus, despite the mounting numbers you're probably only competing against a few billion.

What about those that are making money? How do their websites make money and generate an income for their owners? Below are a few ways the top 50 websites make money.

Yes, we went from billions to 50 to help you choose the best monetization methods for your site. Please note that most of the sites are not listed just the business model.

1. Ads: The majority (36) used ads to generate an income. Despite this becoming a vulnerable business model, it's still growing. Most of them rely of Google, while the others rely on private ad modules run by volunteers.

Ads are easy to set up and operate for the most part. Google Adsense for instance, is a code that you simply add to your pages and then begin making money once the ads are clicked.

2. Affiliate programs: Sites that don't rely on advertising (and even those that do) concentrate on affiliate programs. Amazon.com was a favorite among the 50. It's a trusted website that offers a variety of products.

Like ads, affiliate programs are easy to maintain. Most programs have their own marketing material so the affiliate only needs to place the merchant's banners and textlinks on their site and then generate traffic.

3. Premium accounts: Subscription site owners give people the opportunity to set a free account; they then offer upgradeable options that offer more than the free account. Some sites make user's sign up on a less expensive account before they can use the site and then offer the premium account.

Subscription sites are very popular and profitable because they provide a residual income. You can sell to the same customer over and over again.

4. Virtual products: Ebooks, software, videos and music downloads are taking precedence on the internet. Ebooks for example, are becoming increasingly popular and have been predicted to overtake print books.

Whether or not that's true is debatable but more people are searching for virtual products for entertainment and education. Sites like clickbank.com offers a plethora of ebooks and software downloads in virtually every subject.

While ebook.com lets users find their favorite (and new) print books in digital format. And no one can deny the fact that itunes has overtaken CD stores.

5. Clothes and accessories: While a number of people do sell physical products like cellphones. Clothes were actually producing the greatest number of profits. Perhaps it's because women tend to shop more, and more women are shopping online.

Many of these women are not seeking electronics but fashion. It's not just eBay that is seeing a growth but online versions of offline shops as well as small independently run online shops.

There are more monetization methods one could choose from to help their websites make money, but of them these are the most profitable and secure. When you are competing against billions of websites to make money you want the ideas that work.

Choose The Right Domain Name For Your Internet Home Business

If you are researching the many benefits of having a Internet home business to start earning extra retirement income hopefully you understand the value of owning your domain name versus using a free domain name service.

Choosing the correct domain name is the first and a vital part of succeeding with a Internet home business. It can also be a confusing and daunting task if you are unsure of how to proceed. There are a few basic approaches you can use to help determine the best domain name for your particular situation.

Using keywords in your domain name is a popular and easy way to get quickly recognized by the search engines and traffic to your site. Once you determine what the focus of your Internet home business will be choose one or two keywords that customers search to find your product.

One easy method to search for keyword ideas is by using Google Adwords. This allows you to enter a keyword and then get results of how many searches per month for that phrase along with different variations of the phrase.

Chances are that the particular keyword you choose will have a very high amount of searches each month but more than likely someone is already using it for a domain name. With this tool you will get many variations and eventually you should be able to find one that works for you.

Using your name or your company name as your domain name. Many people will choose to brand there name and drive traffic to their site that way.

Think of Ebay, or Amazon or even Google. There are no keywords in those domain names and nothing to tell you what service they provide. However virtually everyone knows those company names and what service they provide. By constantly branding their name people automatically go to these sites without even searching other sites.

Of course the chances of ever achieving this type of brand recognition is not very feasible however with the proper amount of marketing simply using your name as the web site address can bring substantial traffic. This method usually takes longer to start bringing traffic but over time the quality of traffic can be better.

Instead of searching by a particular keyword customers begin to search for your name. This usually mean that you have begun to make a presence on the web and people trust your opinion. If they trust your opinion chances are they will purchase from you .

Regardless of what method you choose remember that simply having have good domain name will not guarantee success with a Internet home business. There is still much work that needs to be done but your domain name is key to start earning extra retirement income.

Work Online and Make Money: 5 Tips

In this article we want to give you five work online and make money tips you can follow to ensure your personal success. There are many opportunities available to you on the Internet, but not all of them are legitimate. Let's analyze this statement a little closer.

1. Many times people do not join a business opportunity because they are concerned about being scammed. This makes sense because not everyone on the Internet is legitimate. One thing you can do is look for the contact information of the business you are considering joining.

If they provide ways to get in touch with them via telephone, email, Internet chat, a contact us form, or so on, then they are probably legitimate. There's no sense trying to make money working online if you are not dealing with a legitimate company.

2. Carefully analyze the products being sold. Not all products are created equal.

On the Internet today digital products are very good to sell, but physical products do very well also. The key to making money is to offer quality products so you can develop loyal customers that will come back and buy from you again.

3. If you are looking at making money selling products then you must analyze the compensation plan. You want to be fairly compensated for the time you put in promoting and selling a product for the company you represent.

It is much easier to work online knowing that you are earning a high commission rate. For this reason many people choose to become an affiliate marketer where they can earn as high as 75% in commissions on the products they sell.

4. Nobody makes any money until something sold online and to do this you must market your business or product. If you're considering joining a home business opportunity, or affiliate program, analyze the marketing materials they are making available to you. The higher the quality the marketing materials are the better chances you have to make sales utilizing them.

5. Legitimate work online opportunities are ones that have been around for while and have earned a reputation of being a quality opportunity. You can go to a discussion forum and check out specific opportunities to see if anything bad has been said about them. You can also utilize social networking to research companies to determine if they are legitimate or not.

This is five work online and make money tips that will serve you well if you consider what we are talking about. Legitimate opportunities are everywhere, but you must go out and find them.

How to Make Money On The Internet In 5 Easy Steps

How to Make Money On The Internet In 5 Easy Steps

How to Make Money On The Internet In 5 Easy Steps

If you have gone to college, and majored in a degree, you know how expensive and time consuming that is. It will cost you thousands of dollars and several years to get a degree that allows you to go out and start making money. When you view it in this context making money online is much simpler. Here are five easy steps you can follow to make money on the Internet.

1. You need the basic tools and this consists of a decent computer with high speed Internet. If you live in an area where dial up Internet is all that's available to you, you should purchase a plan that offers the fastest speed available.

The reason for this is you will be spending a lot of time on the Internet trying to make money. In essence time is money, and if you are wasting yours on pages that load slow load it is going to cost your pocketbook in the long run.

2. Choose quality products to sell and it will benefit your business. The easiest way to get started is to become an affiliate marketer, but you still need to be careful in the type of products that you sell.

One way to only represent quality products is to purchase a product and learn about it before you try to sell it. This gives you the opportunity to write reviews about it, and to pre-sell the product before you send your visitor through to your affiliate website.

3. To write a review about a product, or create a pre-sell page, you will need a website or blog of your own. This is not hard to set up, but if you choose not to do it you can hire someone to build it for you.

Outsourcing things that you do not know how to do is quick ways to jump start your business. Plus there are excellent people available online all around the world that will work for a fair market price.

4. Another important tool that you must have is a reliable autoresponder. An autoresponder is an automatic way to send email, and is an important part of your business because you need to automate as many of the daily functions as possible.

By setting up an auto responder with pre-programmed messages, you can quickly build a list and keep in touch with your subscribers. This is an excellent long-term strategy to making money online.

5. You will not make money on the internet if you do not drive traffic to your website or blog. Learn how to blog and social bookmark to generate traffic. You must also learn how to incorporate search engine optimization into your advertising to drive traffic to your website.

How to make money from Internet

How To Start A Business

Starting a business can be an exciting venture, get it wrong and it can be disastrous. If you want to know How To Start a Business then will explain the most effective ways for getting your business off the ground.

To begin with, you need to learn How To Write A Business Plan. The first step of this business plan is your 'Vision'.

Now your vision is basically what you want to create. The vision may be a website, product or service so try to think of how you want your vision to look in the final stages. Try to think about colours, branding, quality and appearance.

Once you have your vision you now need to think about 'Action'. Action is what you need to do in order to create your vision. Write down what you intend to do in Month 1, Month 2, Month 3, Year 1, Year 2 and so on. The action plan will change as you progress but is important to set yourself some initial targets.

Ok, so now we have the Vision and we have determined how we are going get there by way of 'action'. Things are looking good and we are making progress.

Now let's think about the final 'Result'. What does that look like? Think along the lines of sales figures, financial reward and also what it is exactly what you want to achieve from the business. Once you have a clear picture of the 'Result' you can now determine how much time and effort you propose to put into this venture. You can also determine how you intent to raise the financial capital in order to get it off the ground.

Let's recap - so far we have determined the 'Vision', 'Action' and 'Results'. Now we need to think about 'Influence'. Who do intent to get on board in order to help me achieve my vision? Start to think about the things that you cannot do on your own such as accountancy work, bookkeeping, employers, contractors or specialists. Whatever you can't do yourself, you will need to get someone else in to help, and these are called 'Influencers'.

Once you have decided on the 'Influencers' you must now think about how 'Confident' you are that your product, website or service is going to work. It is possible to determine, before going to market, is your business is going to succeed. You can 'test' the market before creating your product in a number of ways. Start off by asking people what they think of your idea but make sure these are people whom you don't know. Look at the market place and see what the competition is like. Think about the risks and also what opportunities exist for you in this area. If there is competition, how can you improve on their service or product?

Once you have determined how confident you are that it will work, all that's left to do is think about 'perseverance' and 'caring'. It is essential, in order for your business to succeed, that you persevere. Things will go wrong along the way, but it's how you react to these problems that are important. It is also essential that you 'care' for your business. Look after it along the way and it will look after you!

Good luck, and now that you know How To Start A Business,
you get off to a flying start!

How To Become The Best Affiliate Marketing Expert In Your Niche

It has been said in the past that those who can do, and those who can't teach. This is not necessarily true when it comes to affiliate marketing; however there certainly are people who are making money teaching others how to do affiliate marketing.

This represents an opportunity for you to become the best affiliate marketing expert you can be. The advice I would like to talk about in this article is how to do this in your targeted niche to make more money whether you become a teacher or not.

1. The first thing you should do is make a list of the top five websites you are competing with. You will find that most of these are using affiliate marketing products in one way or the other.

By analyzing these websites you will be able to come up with ideas on how to improve your own affiliate marketing business.

2. You can even go so far as to point your mouse and right click on the website home page. Then click on the words view source, and you will see the HTML code for that website.

This is perfectly okay to do and will give you some ideas on how this website is laid out in terms of the description, and the key words it is targeting. To become an affiliate marketing expert in your niche you need to target a massive list of keywords and use those to bring traffic to your website in multiple ways.

3. A third thing you can do is subscribe to the RSS feeds of some of the top blogs in the niche you are doing affiliate marketing. You can subscribe to these through your RSS feed reader or to receive them by email.

This is just a quick way to be kept up to date whenever someone is announcing something or making an update to their blog. This is a fantastic way to learn more about what your competitors are doing and give you ideas on things you can be doing yourself.

4. Another place to receive free information is to go to discussion forums and hang out and read what is being talked about. You do not even have to join in the discussions to benefit from the knowledge you can gain.

The Home Based Business - 7 Steps to a Successful Business

Do you have a home based business? Are you dreaming of creating one? In this article we will discuss seven steps to creating a successful home based business.

1. Treat your home based business like a real business.
You are a business owner, a professional. Treat your business just like any other business. Get a separate bank account for your business. You need a separate telephone line and/or email dedicated for just your home based business.

2. Don't mix your personal life with your business. Create a separate space in your house. Your home based business needs a room of its own for your home office.

3. Set specific work hours. You are your own boss. You need to be a strict boss and not let your employee slack off and not get the work done. Make a work schedule for working your business and stick to it. Don't start working and then stop to take breaks to do things around the house. A good help is to get an egg timer and set it for an hour. Work diligently for that hour and then take a 5 minute stretch break. Then do it again. You will be amazed at what you can get done.

4. Approach your home based business with self-discipline. When you have a regular job, you go to work some days when you don't feel like it or don't want to. A home based business is no different. Get up early and start working, even if you'd rather watch the TV or read the paper.

5. You must be organized. Make a list of the things that you need to do every day. Prioritize them in the order of importance. Then do them. Cross them off as you do them.
Again, you will be amazed how good you feel and how much
you get done.

6. Let people know you are in business. You must advertise to do this. The internet is one of the most cost effective ways to advertise. You can advertise through banner ads, forums, blogs, pay per click. Educate yourself on these methods. Much is available online. Print media and traditional advertising are also an option.

7. Maintain your integrity. In order for you to stay in business and make money, people must trust you. If you maintain your integrity you will win the trust of your customers. Always under promise and over deliver. When the customer is pleased with what he sees in you and gets from you, he will automatically advertise for you by spreading the word about you, your products or services.

Starting and maintaining a home based business takes work to be successful. Once created and up and running, it is all worth it. These 7 steps can be the beginning of a wonderful journey of self- discovery and the great feeling of accomplishing something you are proud of, a successful home based business.

Home Business Owners Have Alternatives to eBay

Anyone looking to start a profitable home business might have looked no further than their computer---and eBay.com. But in the past few months, eBay has lost its shine, with sellers and buyers boycotting the site and looking for alternative places to do business.

According to reports, 2008 was not a good year for eBay sellers, who had a bevy of complaints against the on-line auction giant and many left in droves.

But what can the thousands of people who have turned their tiny cottage industries into profitable businesses using eBay do? If you are one of the multitude of people who are getting frustrated with trying to build a profitable business using eBay, there are other places you can go.

---Amazon.com has a marketplace, aptly called Amazon Marketplace that allows sellers to list items for free. Sellers pay a commission to Amazon only for sales made. Items that Amazon allows are limited to the items it already sells, but Amazon seems to be expanding this list daily. However, you are competing not only with others also trying to sell their items, but with Amazon itself. Still, it is an alternative if you are one of the small business owners who have decided that eBay is not for you.

---Bidville is another site that allows sellers to list any item they have for sale. Sellers pay a commission of up to 5 percent, depending on the sale price of the item.

---If you make your own items, such as jewelry or other craft-time products, Etsy.com might be a good alternative. It's "the place to sell all things homemade," according to the site. Etsy charges a 20 cent listing fee, as well as a 3.5 percent sales commission.

---Overstock.com also offers an auction area listing almost every kind of item you might want to sell. Overstock charges fees that are based the percentage of the selling price and also offers a way for buyers to purchase an item outright without bidding.

---Craigslist or other online classifieds are very popular. Though most people use these sites to get rid of things around the house, they are becoming more popular with home-based business owners. The listings are free, you don't pay fees, but you do have to deal directly with customers.

Wherever you decide is best for you, there are some things you must consider before putting your items up for sale:

---Research price. Make sure you're not the highest-priced item. See what others are charging for the same item. If you are selling via an auction, setting a reserve price that is too high will only discourage bidding.

---Research your product and don't get stuck. While all business entails a certain amount of risk, the last thing you want is to be stuck with ten garbage bags full of some toy that has quickly lost its shine. ---Sell stuff that sells. Sell hot items that continue to be hot! Women's plus size clothing is a solid seller, and on the other side of the coin, exercise equipment and weight loss aids also do well. Designer clothing, sunglasses, handbags and other items also do consistently well---even if they're knock-offs (which should be disclosed).

Here are 4 Easy Ways To Cause an Explosion in Your Advertising Response

Have you ever spent days, weeks, even a month or more slaving away at producing what you thought would be a blockbuster sales letter or ad... only to find it was a total flop?

I know I have.

Or maybe you forked over thousands to a traditional ad agency or marketing firm, only to get the same dismal result?

If so, then listen up.

Recently I was reviewing a collection of some of the greatest sales letters and ads, written by some of the world's best copywriters, and found that there are a number of techniques that they managed to use repeatedly, to get killer results in their advertising efforts.

Upon further review of my "losing" ads, I almost always found that I had completely neglected to use, or use effectively, one or several of those response boosting techniques.

In this article, I'll reveal four of those powerful techniques you can easily use, to vastly improve the response and profitability of your next advertising
campaign.

1. Use of powerful adjectives and action verbs. Using lots of descriptive words and action verbs in your copy, will submerge your readers in a total sensory experience which allows them to vividly see, feel, taste, touch and smell all of the benefits your product or service has to offer.

Here's an example...

"This deep conditioning treatment will moisturize and strengthen your hair." is a start, but it's not good enough. Using more powerful adjectives and action verbs to describe those benefits, you might say something like this... "This all-natural deep conditioning treatment will replenish moisture-robbed hair, penetrating deep into the strand itself to strengthen it from root to tip. Leaving you with healthy, beautiful, silky-smooth hair."

2. The masterful use of well-crafted similes and metaphors. This might be one of the most powerful copywriting techniques you could ever use. Metaphors allow you to make a direct comparison between two seemingly different objects, as if they were related.

Need an example?

"Having a sprinkler system in your home can dramatically reduce the chances of a fatal fire." This isn't bad, but look at how a metaphor transforms this statement: "Having a sprinkler system is like having a virtual firefighter in your home. It dramatically reduces the chances of a fatal fire."

3. Apply the benefits of the product to the reader. Paint your prospects a thoroughly detailed picture of what their life will be like if they purchase the product or service. Describe in vivid detail how it will improve their life, or the end result they will receive.

A common way of doing this is using variations of phrases like: "Imagine how you'd feel if...", or "How would you like to be able to..." and then simply plugging in a clear, vivid description of one or more of the benefits they will enjoy with your product.

How about an example...

"Imagine you, having tight, firm, chiseled six-pack abs, that catch the eyes and attention of every woman around as
soon as you take off your shirt."

4. Build "Yes momentum". By doing this, you not only get the prospect to agree with you, but also get him to sell himself on your product or service. People hate to be "sold", so if you can get your prospect to sell himself, it makes your job infinitely easier.

You do this by asking the prospect questions that unless he's quite foolish, or not a prospect at all, he will inevitably say "yes" to. Questions that make the reader believe that he really wants the benefits of your product or service.

Questions like: "Would you like to know the secrets of the smartest, wealthiest, and most successful business owners who consistently earn $15,000, $20,000, even $30,000 or more a month in cash profits, even in the face of the darkest recession the country has faced in decades?"

Only a fool would say no to that. Not only that, but by saying "yes", he essentially just convinced himself that you, or whatever you're selling must have the answer to that question.

Whatever advertising material you're planning to produce, these four methods are some of the most reliable, consistent, effective ways to consistently boost your
response rates. Use them correctly, and watch your response rates soar effortlessly to stratospheric heights.

4 Steps To Starting a Profitable Business

Starting a business of your own today is nothing special. As a matter of fact thousands of people start one every day. However starting a profitable business is another story altogether, and in this article we will talk about how you can do just that.

1. Pay attention to the market to you choose your business in. Many people focus on the product, or how much money they can make, when in reality they should be looking at the market first. Your goal very simply is to choose a market where people are currently spending money and then find a way to capitalize on that.

Certain markets continue to do well year after year and are great candidates as a profitable business for you to be in. Anything where people are spending money can be profitable for you.

For example people will spend money on their pets almost before they will their own kids. Selling products on the Internet to pet owners is a great way to make money. Other profitable markets include golf, work at home, weight loss, and so on.

2. If you do not have a product of your own consider joining an affiliate marketing program. This is an excellent way to quickly become profitable because your product is provided for you and so is just about everything you need to succeed. You will be given your own website, marketing materials, company support, training, and so on.

Selling information products is a good idea because of the market for them. This allows you to be more profitable, plus information products are always in demand. When you focus on solving peoples problems you can become profitable very quickly.

3. Start your own website or blog and differentiate yourself from other affiliate marketers. This is good advice today because there could be thousands of people promoting the same product as you using the exact same website.

Today people expect to learn about things before they pull their credit card out. This gives you the opportunity to create pages such as review pages that provide information and help pre-sell your potential customer. Blogging allows you to interact with your customers on a level that a website cannot, so that's a good idea as well.

4. The final point we want to make is you must spend the majority of your time advertising your business online. There are many free or nearly free ways you can do this to help increase your profitability. However you should consider doing paid advertising by reinvesting some of your profits once your business is making sales.

In summary these are four steps to starting a profitable business of your own. An Internet business is a good way to be profitable and a fast way to start too!

How To Make Money Without Computer Skills

In the past more companies have outsourced many of the functions of customer service and other aspects of their business. Oftentimes what is overlooked is the opportunity to make money without computer skills by outsourcing your Internet business needs as well. Here are a few ways you can do that.
In this example we are going to use blogging as a way to make money. I want to show you how you can do this without any computer skills at all.

1. The first thing you will need to outsource is setting your blog up. Did you know that for less than $100 you can have a professional blog set up and running to make you
money.
Today blogging platforms such as WordPress offer any Internet business an excellent way to get an online presence very quickly. Having someone set your blog up for you takes the pressure off of you doing it.

2. Affiliate marketing is a great way to monetize your blog. Most affiliate companies offer excellent graphics that you can add to your blog and of course you can outsource this too.
The nice thing about affiliate marketing is the merchants will collect the money and ship the product for you. You earn a commission for doing this.
Another thing you can do is offer a home business opportunity as your product itself. The company that you represent will provide you with marketing materials that you can add to your blog. Again you can outsource that and have your blog builder add the graphics for you.

3. Every blog will need content and you can hire a blog writer to do that for you. Over time the fresh content can be worth many times more than what you pay someone to write
for you. The key to blogging is to social bookmark your blog post and some writing companies will provide this service as well.

4. One of the best ways to make money online is to create back links to your website or blog. You can hire people to post comments in other people's blogs and create back links this way. You can also hire someone to post in discussion forums and brand yourself as an expert on the products you promote.

There is much more than we can write on the subject of outsourcing to make money without computer skills. The point is there are people who will do things for you online and do it at a reasonable price. Your lack of computer skills does not have to stop you from building a successful Internet business.
